How much does it cost and what does it take?
We live in a market world and everything costs something.
But it doesn’t have to cost you anything.
We try to minimize costs, but of course we can’t do it 100%. That’s why we are grateful to all members of the community who make a voluntary contribution to help support the running of our services.






OSCLOUD
We are a community of administrators, developers and programmers who share a passion for the web and technology. We know that for many people, managing a website can be a nightmare full of technical deadlines and complex setups. That’s why we decided to change that.
We also run the services for our own use, so currently a large burden of cost goes to us. But along with that, we also have supporters from among the users, either on a one-off or regular basis,

We have also recently set up a company to provide our business and corporate supporters with the necessary stack of documents for tax deduction options and the like. In addition, we are currently working hard to officially launch a web host that will also help with funding the project.
So to give you an idea, what are the costs?
We are currently working on 3 servers, our main server is connected to the internet via Hetzner and the monthly operating costs are about 125€. This server is of course backed up – twice a day a complete backup is run to an external server in case of need, which costs us about 30€ per month.
We have another, separate, server for Mastodon and we pay about 60€/month for that.
And that would be the price for the ‘iron’, so we currently have a cost of 215€. And as my grandfather used to say, ‘if you don’t count the work…’, we don’t.
Anyway, it is quite an interesting hobby and if you would like to run it together with us, we will be very happy.
What can we offer you?
In addition to our endless gratitude for the support of this project, we are also grateful for the maximum support we can provide.
We can’t guarantee you support in minutes, precisely because this is a community project and we are fed by other work. That’s why we won’t promise our 365/24/7 support, but we will allow ourselves to offer the best we can and let the historical numbers do the talking.
Our server availability has been 99.9% for the last 12 months.
We have had 14 individual service outages, with problem resolution ranging from 2 to 25 minutes from reporting/detecting the problem.
All of our services are updated to the latest stable and security version within 24 hours of release.
All data of both applications and customers are backed up to 3 different locations in the EU.
If you have an error on your website, application, create a support ticket and we will be available to assist you within a few hours at the latest.
We guarantee the security and privacy of your data. We don’t have access to raw data either.

You will get our full support for your money, regardless of the amount of your donation.
Individual ‘plans’ are set up so that everyone can choose how much they want to contribute.
